The Teaching and Learning Center at John Jay College of Criminal Justice is dedicated to recognizing excellence in teaching and learning, to supporting social justice and equity in public urban higher education, and to providing mentoring, resources, and opportunities that enable faculty, staff, and students to engage with and enhance teaching and learning.

                      Spring 2019 Program Improvement Grant         
The Teaching and Learning Center is pleased to announce Program Improvement Grants of up to $2500 for faculty to “close the loop” on their outcomes assessment findings in order to strengthen student learning. Program Improvement Grants may be proposed to improve aspects of the following:
an undergraduate major 
one or a set of general education courses 
a graduate program 
Program Improvement Grants may be used to revise curriculum, develop assignments within the curriculum that better support program outcomes, and/or engage in faculty development in such a way that will directly contribute to student learning.  Proposals that scaffold student skills in written communications, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and information literacy will be favored.
