Please note the following:

  • Given the global health and safety risks and continuing uncertainty around travel posed by the ongoing spread of COVID-19, the OISP has suspended undergraduate participation for all programs abroad during the 2021-2022 academic year.
  • This means NO programs will be considered for approval during 2021.
  • We will be assessing programs during 2022 according to health, safety, and quality standards set by the College and University. Should we cancel future programs, students will be informed promptly before any financial commitment to the program.
  • Petitions for virtual study-abroad programs will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • For more information on COVID-19 and tips for staying healthy, please visit the CDC website. For the latest information CUNY policy related to study-abroad travel, please visit CUNY's website: - academic-business.

We are committed to put the safety and wellbeing of all our students, faculty, and staff first. The rapidly changing travel restrictions introduce a risk variable that our office can neither predict nor control. We want to take this opportunity to thank all our John Jay student community and all those who support international education for your patience, courage, maturity, and understanding as our office navigates through this global-health crisis.
